The opening concert of the maltafestival poznań on 25 June will feature Jacques Brel's nephew, Bruno Brel.
Even though he started his singing career in 1967, as a sixteen-year-old, and released his records with the famous Jacques Canetti who had discovered and promoted his uncle, it was not until 1998 that Bruno recorded Enfin voilà, his first album to feature Jacques' songs. This was followed by Moitié Bruno, moitié Brel (Half Bruno, Half Brel, 2001), Bruno Brel aux oiseaux de passage (2003) and L'héritage (2004). In 2008 he released 20 ans de scène, a review of his 20 year's presence on stage. Despite featuring his famous uncle's songs in his repertoire Bruno Brel follows his own path in music. He is also known for his comical talent and his concerts leave audiences in excellent moods.
We will find out how Brel sings BREL on 25 June in Poznań!
